lyrics
an image before my eyes
i imagine
you are out there
weathering storms
far away
you've raised anchor
for a sailors life
calm seeing
salty eyes that know
every story
every harbour
a true master of your trades
in the midst
of a life before the mast
yet i know
about the power
beneath the sea
that pulled you under
a grey and green grave
a boy and the sea
a force far too great

I love Mantar. Theirs is one of the most impressive live performances I have ever seen: primitive, sweaty and more energetic than most coal power stations. Having such a beloved artist release a new album is always a bit scary, especially after three very strong offerings in a row. Still, Mantar remain untouchable and return with their most accessible (read: 'still kicking you in the balls until your teeth pop out') release so far. Odysseus might be their best song yet. The kings are back. David Fischer

While Ofte jeg drømmer mig død will most likely always be my favourite Afsky album (being one ov my favourite albums in general), Om hundrede år ticks all the boxes I hoped it would: the calm and simultaneously depressing folk elements are there; the wailing screams of a forlorn spirit, forced to eternally wander the woods (apt comparison, deadpunk!); the harsh, bitterly cold guitar riffs and the ultimate realisation of life, death and our inevitable undoing. Exactly what I want. Recommended! David Fischer
A fantastic debut showing from Baltimore metal band Born of Plagues, uniting post-metal's expansive textures with sludge's almighty muck. Bandcamp New & Notable May 19, 2021

There must be something in Denmarks Water. There's a Bunch of great Danish BM Bands (ORM, Afsky, Sunken, etc), but what SOLBRUD did is absolutely amazing. Great Atmosphere, superb Songwriting. A Monolith of an Album. Strong Album of the Year Contender. capitanostupido
